FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

San Antonio, Texas In celebration of National Developmental Disabilities Awareness Month, Localism, Inc, a premiere consulting firm elevating advocacy and support for social and economic issues, is proud to share its most recent recognition as a disability-owned business enterprise through Disability:IN’s Supplier Diversity Program.

In 1987, President Reagan proclaimed March as National Developmental Disability Awareness Month to create awareness and urge the nation to provide encouragement and opportunities to help people with disabilities lead productive and fulfilling lives.

“It is a wonderful coincidence for Localism, Inc. to be recognized as a disability-owned business during a national holiday that foments the active inclusion of people with developmental disabilities and highlights the many ways we contribute to our vibrant, diverse community,” said Localism, Inc.’s founder, C. LeRoy Cavazos Reyna.

Disability:IN, the leading nonprofit resource for business disability inclusion worldwide, promotes the inclusion of people with disabilities and actively inspires accessible innovation for all. The organization’s supplier diversity program is the leading third party certifier of disability-owned business enterprises (DOBE®s), including Veteran Disability-Owned Business Enterprises (V-DOBE®s) and Service-Disabled Veteran Disability-Owned Business Enterprises (SDV-DOBE®s).

According to Disability:IN’s Economic Impact of Certified Disability-Owned Business Enterprises (DOBEs) report, one in four adults in the U.S. lives with a disability, people with disabilities are twice as likely to be self-employed, and disability-owned businesses employ people with disabilities at a rate ten times that of non-DOBEs.

Localism, Inc.’s founder, C. LeRoy Cavazos Reyna has utilized his professional platform to advocate, raise awareness, and foster inclusivity towards the disabled community. Now as a certified disability-owned and LGBT business enterprise, Localism, Inc. will continue to play an active role in national and international advocacy for underrepresented individuals in the business community who are active contributors to our collective global economic vibrancy.
